Hospital Policies

Below are the policies of Magnolia Veterinary Hospital

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available for established patients/clients. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. These 'drop-off' appointments can be utilized for normal wellness visits, or for sick patients that need to be seen when there are no open appointment times.

We are not able to offer "drop-off" visits for new clients.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and paypal.

If your pet is hospitalized (kept in the hospital for care) a deposit of half the estimated cost is required at the time of admission.

Unfortunately, we are not able to allow payment plans. If you will need this service, we do accept CareCredit which is a third party "medical credit card" that offers delayed billing and payments

Emergency Fees

Hours:
8am-Midnight 7 Days a Week

Appointment Hours:
M-F: 8am-5:40pm
Sat: 8am-12pm

Emergency Hours:
M-F: 6pm-Midnight
Sat: noon-Midnight
Sun: 8am-Midnight

Emergency Exam fees are:
Regular fee $120, $150 on holidays

We require payment of the Emergency fee upon initial arrival when checking in.

These charges are the emergency fee and the exam, any additional treatments or tests will be discussed after the exam, and an estimate of further costs can be made at that time.

About Magnolia

During the daytime, we operate mostly on an appointment basis for routine preventative care, sick visits and elective surgeries. We also see emergencies and transfers form other area veterinary practices during the day. At night we are are staffed with a doctor on site at all times, as well as our licensed technicians and assistants to see emergencies and provide 24 hour care to our hospitalized patients.
